  The Titanic now rests over 12,000 feet below the ocean. The water pressure is 6,000 lbs (2700 kg) per square inch. She has been visited many times, by Robert D. Ballard, her discoverer, salvagers, and most recently James Cameron for footage for his movie Titanic. The Titanic was discovered by Robert D. Ballard, with the Woods Hole research submersible.
